Position Job Description: Work for a manufacturer based in Central New Jersey.
Industrial Engineer As we continue to expand, we’re looking for an Industrial Engineer to help us streamline operations and improve production performance across our manufacturing facilities.
Position Summary We’re seeking a hands-on Industrial Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have the potential to lead people in a supervisory or manager role. This role will focus on process improvement, production efficiency, layout design, and data-driven analysis to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze manufacturing workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
Optimize plant layouts, material flow, and workstation design for safety, efficiency, and throughput
Collect and interpret production data to support cost reduction and quality enhancement initiatives
Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and time studies
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to drive lean manufacturing initiatives
Support implementation of new equipment, automation, and technology upgrades
Participate in Kaizen events and cross-functional improvement projects
Qualifications
Must Be Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally in building materials, windows, doors, or similar industries
Proficiency in using tools like AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and ERP/MRP systems
Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools (5S, value stream mapping, etc.)
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience with time and motion studies, process mapping, and plant layout redesign
Familiarity with ISO standards and quality systems
Exposure to Six Sigma or other process improvement certifications a plus
Compensation Annual Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000/year
