You will play a key role by helping analyze product design requirements with product management to ensure new or improved designs meet customer needs while balancing functionality, sustainability, reliability, manufacturability, and aesthetics. You will also assist in validating manufacturing processes to ensure standards are met. You would also:

Prepare and maintain design specifications, guidelines, and plans. Research and analyze customer proposals, manuals, and data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance. Develop drawings using CAD software. Create and execute product test plans, including durability and functionality testing. Use engineering analysis tools (DFMEA, PFMEA, VSA, FEA) to evaluate potential failures and quality issues. Assist in selecting sustainable materials in collaboration with Supply Chain. Develop and document material and component specifications. Assist in costing new or improved products. Participate in Value Analysis/Value Engineering activities. Assist with testing and verification for certifications (UL, Intertek, etc.) Participate in field activities like VOC data gathering to inform design changes or new product features. Promote a safe and harmonious working environment. Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and codes. Perform other duties as assigned. The Skills and Experience you need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Product Design Engineering. Experience with AutoCAD or ProEngineer and interpreting mechanical drawings. Exposure to sheet metal product design is a plus. Ability to multitask with competing priorities. Proficiency with AutoCAD or SolidWorks preferred. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. What we offer
