Responsibilities Level 1
Regularly review and update personal tool inventory on a quarterly basis to maintain compliance with the company’s calibration and tool replacement protocols.
Complete daily work assignments as requested from the customer or supervisor.
Use basic analytical skills to troubleshoot, identify problems, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems either by phone or on site.
Understand the company’s warranty policy and take initiative on processing warranty claim reports in the field.
Adhere to company safety and environmental requirements, promoting proper safety procedures and correct use of PPE.
Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor and communication with customers and internal staff at all times.
Level 2
Provide warranty support; evaluate and validate claims, discuss issues with Product Company, and submit service reports to support claims.
Communicate service and other relevant activities to the customer and the service manager through daily service reports, relevant forms, email and telephone communication.
Support varied activities, with simultaneous projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Level 3
Use specialized expertise and ingenuity to develop solutions customized to issues specific to customers.
Rebuild various complete components to OEM specifications in service shop.
Perform essential functions of the job on the various equipment types supporting all business line areas.
Serve as a subject matter expert for other service technicians, supporting their training and development.
Requirements Level 1
Basic computer skills, familiarity with Epiroc equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, good work ethic, and ability to read basic hydraulic and 24‑volt schematics.
Possess own hand tools and expand personal tool inventory by purchasing additional tools as referenced by the required tool list.
Complete TL1 and TL2 training and Safe Start Modules 1‑5 within the first year of employment.
Maintain required U.S. Department of Labor, Mine, Safety & Health Administration Training Certificates or complete the necessary training program.
Maintain a valid driver’s license; a good driving record is required. If required to operate a commercial vehicle weighing more than 26,001 pounds, obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) and maintain it.
Travel is required.
Level 2
Minimum of a certificate of completion for a technical or trade school, or equivalent of 2‑5 years of relevant experience.
Complete TL1 and TL2 within 3‑6 months of hire.
Level 3
Minimum of a certificate of completion for a technical or trade school, or equivalent of 5+ years of relevant experience.
Expert at Rig Control Systems (RCS).
Complete TL1 and TL2 training within 1 month of hire.
Level determined based on relevant work experience, knowledge, skills and ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
Location Onsite at the mine sites, in and around Osburn area.
Shift Time 60+ hours, up to 14 hours a day.
