A well‑established General Contractor in Pennsylvania is seeking to hire a Preconstruction Manager to support early‑phase planning and delivery of projects across the Mid‑Atlantic region.
This organization is known for sustainable building practices, client‑first delivery, high ethical standards, and strong long‑term partnerships. They provide preconstruction, construction management, design‑build, general contracting, facility maintenance, and development support.
The Role This position will lead the preconstruction process across multiple projects, supporting clients, design teams, and internal project leadership. You will be responsible for budgeting, scheduling, constructability, procurement strategy, and early‑stage client collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Lead preconstruction efforts from concept through GMP
Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and project executives to understand scope and goals
Prepare conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, cost models, and value engineering options
Support logistics planning, site strategy and constructability reviews at different design stages
Evaluate design documents and identify cost, schedule and risk impacts
Participate in RFP / RFQ responses with project leadership
Review subcontractor proposals and complete bid analysis
Coordinate handover from preconstruction into operations
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or similar
Strong experience in preconstruction, estimating, cost planning, and conceptual budgeting
Familiarity with design‑build, CM or GC delivery models
Strong communication skills with clients, design teams and internal teams
