Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Plan and supervise activities, including determining construction methods, sequencing, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, and work schedule.

Help train and manage other field staff.

Manage the day‑to‑day activities of multiple mid‑size projects simultaneously through assigned Electrical Foremen.

In conjunction with the Project Manager, create and maintain project schedules, monitor critical path dates, and review milestone schedules.

Communicate site problems, conflicts, schedules, and quality issues effectively to the Project Manager and owner.

Resolve field construction problems.

Maintain open communication between all subcontractors to ensure required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support project activities and schedule.

Monitor field staff & subcontractor compliance with project safety program requirements; ensure weekly safety inspections and toolbox talks are completed and corrective measures are implemented.

Assist the Safety Department in incident and/or accident investigations and follow‑up.

Understand all subcontractors’ scopes and ensure they maintain schedules and quality standards that meet contract requirements.

Assist the Project Manager with subcontractor disputes, quality control, and schedule coordination.

Work with the Project Manager and owner’s representatives to ensure work complies with drawings and specifications.

Support the Project Manager in the negotiation of claims and changes.

Provide input to the Project Manager regarding cost and schedule forecasts.

Assist the Project Manager with Change Order review.

Perform project close‑out and ensure punch list is completed in a timely manner.

Mentor Project Associates assigned to the project.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years’ experience on construction projects as an Electrical Superintendent or Electrical General Foreman (or higher).

Ability to read and interpret construction documents.

Experience in mid‑size tenant buildouts and commercial space renovation projects preferred.

Effective communication skills.

Knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control, and ability to supervise small to mid‑size groups.

Good organization, multitasking, leadership, and decision‑making ability.

Basic computer skills preferred.
