Job Summary Directs the day-to-day operations and development of one (1) or more athletic team(s). Responsibilities
Essential Functions Coaches and oversees all administrative, recruiting, practicing and scouting activities. Manages, monitors, prepares and reports all budget activities. Ensures adherence to academic standards and retention of student athletes. Develops and maintains fundraising, coaching and University professional relationships. Job Duties Assists in the daily operation of the program, including team practices and drills. Supporting student athletes in their academic and personal development goals. Assisting with various program related issues as needed. Collaborate with the assistant coach to develop and implement training strategies to enhance performance. Develop tennis skills in a student-athlete through individual and team instruction Full-time includes working holidays, weekends, and 40+ weeks Qualifications
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related field Four (4) years of experience in collegiate level coaching Required License/Certifications/Training: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to connect with a diverse population Commitment to the highest level of student-athlete welfare Adhere to NCAA, AAC and University Guidelines Align with core values – Character, Integrity, Knowledge, Stewardship, Competitive Excellence Strong communication skills both domestically and internationally Equipped to leverage and maximize a state-of-the-art $15M-$20M tennis facility, yielding competitive and recruiting success our program hasn’t yet seen… Highly organized and reliable with great follow up and follow through Knowledge of recruiting regulations and ability to do so regularly, and recruit at a high level internationally High energy not only at practice but in daily interactions with staff/student-athletes Understanding of the technical and tactical aspects of a successful tennis team but also an individual tennis player Ability to teach, motivate, lead and mentor student-athletes Additional Information

Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information. Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to position self to participate in development appropriate activities with athletes. Ability to move or traverse across campus, within buildings and offices, and/or across external environments. Ability to move, transport, and/or deliver items, supplies, or equipment. Ability to drive state vehicle. ABOUT US The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is the governing body of college tennis, overseeing men’s and women’s varsity tennis at all levels – NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and Junior/Community College.
