Diesel Mechanic
– Transdev in Bronx, NY is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. Competitive compensation package of minimum $35.00 – Maximum $48.00 Benefits

Complete preventative maintenance inspections (PMs). Complete repairs on defects found during a PM Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repairs including but not limited to brakes, suspensions, engines, and transmissions. Complete repairs on defects noted during daily vehicle inspections – pre-trip inspections (DVIs) Ensure work orders are completed accurately. Qualifications
Valid driver’s license required. At least 5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair employment experience or a combination of technical school education & experience. Mechanic’s toolset ASE certifications preferred. Must be willing to participate in company ASE certification program (company training, testing, and bonuses provided). Subject to DOT drug testing. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason. Physical Requirements
The essential functions of this position require the ability to: Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations. Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces. Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to access files or equipment stored at ground level. Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
