The Role We’re seeking a hands‑on, experienced Welding/Coatings QA Auditor to support a large industrial project in Corinne, UT. This position plays a key role in upholding weld and coating quality standards on‑site, supporting project integrity, and promoting a collaborative, quality‑driven environment.
What You’ll Do
Conduct daily field audits of welders and welding documentation
Audit contractor quality plans and verify compliance
Inspect shop and field‑applied coatings
Maintain weld and inspection logs using Procore and internal portals
Coach onsite welders and support quality improvement
Conduct shop visits to audit fabrication and welding programs
Provide constructive, on‑the‑ground feedback to promote high standards
What You Bring ✅ AWS Certified Welding Inspector (current or eligible for renewal)
✅ Strong knowledge of AWS codes (D1.1, D1.3, D1.6, D10.12, D10.18)
✅ Industrial construction background
✅ Effective communication and ability to deliver direct feedback to peers
✅ Ability to work variable shifts and travel for shop visits
✅ Ability to safely navigate industrial sites
✅ Physical ability to safely navigate uneven surfaces and stairs/ladders/scaffolding up to 50’, work in confined spaces, work at heights of up to 50’ (with reasonable accommodations)
Preferred: 5+ years QA/QC experience in welding/coatings, NACE/SSPC/AMPP certification(s), industrial construction background, experience with Procore and IWS standards, experience with aerial work platforms and confined space protocols, valid passport.
