Assistant Project Manager
– Brinkmann Constructors We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Project Manager to support our Project Manager in delivering high‑quality construction projects. This role offers a career path in project management within a leader in the industry. Responsibilities
Execute and enforce safety standards, conduct weekly safety inspections and monthly safety audits. Enforce quality standards, conduct quality control audits. Support preconstruction efforts regarding estimating, takeoff, cost, and duration. Assist the Project Manager in the negotiated and hard bid estimate process, proposing value engineering solutions. Assist in analyzing subcontractor bids, selecting and executing subcontracts. Assist in preparing bid proposals for submission to the owner. Assist in preparing permit applications and obtaining all necessary permits and licenses. Coordinate material and equipment procurement and expediting. Determine construction requirements, procedures, and maintain proper project documentation. Generate and maintain RFI process and responses, submittal logs, change orders, and meeting minutes. Follow and promote established project standards, processes and procedures. Anticipate and identify project issues and risks, proactively working with project team to present solutions and solve problems. Direct, coordinate, and monitor subcontractor activities on a construction site to ensure specifications are met. Provide ongoing training and development of project engineers, assisting with onboarding and training programs. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications
Passion for the construction industry, self‑motivated, strong work ethic, good time management, organized, creative, and excellent communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Architectural, or Construction, Construction Management or related field required. 3+ years’ experience performing full life cycle commercial construction management preferably within diverse market sectors. Conceptual estimating and bidding experience with emphasis in commercial construction required. Proficiency with computer applications including Procore, P6, Microsoft Office suite, and SharePoint. Authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by the company. Demonstrated knowledge of required safety standards and procedures. Working Conditions
Work performed in a main office or field office at the construction site, outdoors in various weather conditions. Physical effort required, including handling objects up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, sitting, viewing a computer screen, talking and hearing. Construction site will change or vary and/or position may require travel.
