Overview
MAINTAINS BUILDING ENVIRONMENT by sustaining building equipment, heating, cooling, electrical and plumbing systems. Responsibilities
Maintain building equipment and facilities systems, including heating, cooling, electrical and plumbing. Have basic working knowledge of related trades-crafts (plumbing, carpentry, electricity) and interior and exterior painting skills. Operate power tools in a safe and proper manner. Possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to our insurance company. Work on both Easthampton and Northampton campuses. Collaborate with other trades people (carpenter, electrician, plumber). Ability to climb, walk long distances, lift, push, pull, and carry weights from 60 pounds up to and in excess of 125 lbs. Exposure to mechanical equipment in potentially dangerous situations and the usual risks involved with using ladders, working at high elevations, dust and handling of job related materials and supplies. Exposure to extreme outside temperatures such as sun exposure and frostbite. On call and overtime flexibility as needed. The schedule for this opportunity is Wednesday - Sunday from 8AM to 4PM with participation in the on-call rotation. Lathrop promotes a diverse and inclusive employment experience.
