Overview
Data Analytics Manager - School of Public Health at Washington University in St. Louis. This role reports to the Director, Data Management and Analytics and will play a key role in collecting, organizing, managing, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data for the School of Public Health’s Innovation Research Networks (IRNs). The position contributes to the strategic development of analytics and data strategy at the School of Public Health.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with IRN co-directors and research personnel to identify data needs, conduct exploratory data analysis and appropriate statistical models, develop dashboards and reports. Review, manage, and analyze data from various sources (primary and secondary data, interviews, focus groups, websites, publications, etc.), identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security by implementing best practices, automated data quality testing, and data governance policies.
Work closely with the Director, Data Management and Analytics, select, configure and implement analytics solutions for the organization. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance data analytics capabilities. Share industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data analytics.
Support the Office of Research Affairs and IRNs by contributing to funding proposals, reports, presentations, manuscripts, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Data Analytics (5 Years)
No specific certification is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Data Science)
Experience in public health research
Experience developing or working with data pipelines, data warehouses, knowledge bases or APIs, or other platforms/tools related to statistical data analysis and visualization
Additional Qualifications:
Master's degree (preferred)
No additional certifications unless stated elsewhere in the posting
Skills include: Applications Programming, Cross-Departmental Collaboration, Cross-Functional Work, Data Analytics, Databricks SQL, Data Lake, Data Warehousing Systems, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Excel VBA, Python, R, SAS, Stata, SQL, and related tools, as well as written and oral communication and project management
Position Details
Grade: G13
Salary Range: $65,900.00 - $112,700.00 / Annually
