Job Summary Local Precision Aerospace Machine Shop is seeking a Quality Inspector who will be responsible for performing inspections, checks and tests for quality control for the manufacture of products. This is a permanent full-time, first shift, position that offers a highly competitive wage depending on experience plus benefits.
Essential Functions
Perform in‑process as well as final manufacturing inspections, sampling and testing of fabricated components.
Perform CMM inspection experience (PC‑DMIS software a plus).
Apply GD&T knowledge.
Record defects and take appropriate action to correct issues.
Create First Article Inspection article.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Familiar with material certificates knowledge in final inspection package/first article per AS9102.
Job Requirements
3-5 years of experience.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or higher.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Mechanical aptitude required.
Must be able to read and apply production instructions, drawings, BOM schematics, and specifications.
Requires knowledge of blueprint reading, geometric tolerances, and finish requirements.
Ability to read and interpret specifications and standards.
Familiar with weld symbols and call‑outs.
Must be able to use basic hand instruments and various measuring and test equipment.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with a strong attention to detail.
Basic computer skills required.
