Assistant Store Leader (Manager) at kate spade new york. Primary purpose: leverage proficiency in retail to drive business, lead the sales team, and assume Store Manager responsibilities in the manager’s absence. Responsibilities

Develop business-driving initiatives that build repeat business and attract new customers. Communicate and achieve store productivity targets including sales per hour, ADT, UPT, and capture rate. Ensure all associates and leadership complete the sales training program and develop strong product knowledge across all categories. Model and supervise the selling environment and provide coaching on the sales training process to ensure the highest level of customer service and sales. Assist Store Manager with achieving financial success through improving measurable results that positively impact store performance. Assume Store Manager role in the manager’s absence. Lead by example with the achievement of personal sales goals and educate the team on sales plans, personal goals, measurable statistics, and how to coach to these metrics to maximize business. Network in the community to fill open positions efficiently with minimal business impact. Conduct ongoing review and assessment of employee performance. Understand and communicate the kate spade new york brand aesthetic, philosophy, and lifestyle to the sales team and customers; ensure brand and operating standards are met to support brand consistency; implement visual merchandising directives and maintain store presentation standards. Communicate merchandise sell-through, stock position, business trend information, product issues, and customer feedback to the Store Manager to increase service and sales. Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures, including counting funds, deposits, register management, and securing the facility. Assist Store Manager with payroll budget by managing schedules and making necessary adjustments. Monitor, maintain, and follow company policies and procedures with a focus on loss prevention to protect inventory and assets. Accurately process POS transactions to maintain inventory integrity. Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of management experience in a comparable retail environment. College degree preferred. Prior luxury goods experience preferred. Physical requirements: available to work store schedule including evenings and weekends; standing for extended periods; ability to lift up to 40 pounds; comfortable climbing ladders.
