We are seeking an experienced
Business Development Manager (m/f/d) – Italy
to lead and grow business initiatives across the Italian food manufacturing sector. This role will focus on identifying, qualifying, and closing new business within the food manufacturing industry — spanning wholesale, retail, foodservice, and B2B — while also developing existing customer accounts and exploring new categories and territories.
What your job includes
Develop and execute a growth-focused business development strategy for the Italian food manufacturing market
Identify, approach, and engage with potential clients as well as contract manufacturers and supply chain partners
Promote OSI’s technical food solutions including custom manufacturing solutions and value-added services tailored to client needs
Build and maintain a strong and sustainable sales pipeline across relevant sectors.
Generate new business opportunities and optimize existing account potential as required
Lead bid proposal, tenders and contract negotiations with support from Technical and Commercial teams
Monitor market trends, customer feedback and category performance to identify new areas for development
Represent OSI at trade fairs and industry events across Italy
What we expect from you
Several years of experience in business development, sales or key account management within the food manufacturing or related sectors
A strong professional network within the Italian food manufacturing, wholesale, retail, or B2B industries
A proven track record of generating and converting new business opportunities
An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and act on self-generated leads
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders in Italian and English
Commercial and analytical acumen, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
Willingness to travel across Italy for client meetings and industry events
