We’re looking for a skilled
Plant Foreman
to lead multi-discipline plant crews on water and wastewater treatment facility projects. You’ll supervise and coordinate yard piping, concrete, process piping/equipment, start-up, and punch-out while driving production, quality, and safety.
What You’ll Do
Directly supervise multiple crews (yard piping, concrete, process piping/equipment, start-up, and punch-out).
Serve as the on-site Safety Manager; identify, report, and correct hazards or near misses.
Plan and execute daily work from the project’s 4-week schedule.
Coordinate materials, equipment, inspections, and subcontractors.
Train and coach crew members; maintain accurate daily reports and timecards.
Support layout, verify work meets plans and specifications, and ensure quality standards are achieved.
Technical Expertise
Read and interpret plans, specifications, P&IDs, I&C, and electrical one-line diagrams.
Perform construction math for quantity and elevation calculations.
Set up and use rotary lasers, builder’s levels, and total stations.
Lead installation of yard piping (push-joint, MJ, restrained joint, HDPE, RCP/CPP/PVC).
Manage process piping (ductile iron, stainless, FRP, PVC); set pumps and process equipment.
Plan pipe excavations around existing utilities; support basic dewatering setup and tuning.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, NPDES, BMPs, and Petticoat-Schmitt safety standards.
Utilize technology (smartphone/iPad, HeavyJob or similar) for reports and documentation.
What We’re Looking For Experience & Training
5–10 years of water/wastewater treatment plant construction experience (foreman level).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Competent Person, Confined Space, Fall Protection, and Crane Safety/Rigging credentials required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
Understanding of plant construction sequencing and resource management.
Familiarity with heavy equipment operations as needed for scope.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand or sit for long periods, climb in/out of trenches or equipment, and lift up to 40 lbs.
Work outdoors in all weather conditions and at various jobsite locations.
Use of required PPE, including hard hat, eye/ear protection, and high-visibility apparel.
