Trade, Transportation and Order Fulfilment Specialist

At ABB, we help industries outrun leaner and cleaner. In this role you will be responsible for local import/export operations, supervise customs brokers, ensure compliance, prepare export/import documentation and guide smooth execution of trade activities within a local unit.
Work Model Based in our Cleveland, OH location.
Responsibilities
Manage customer orders via SAP and EDI, ensuring accuracy in pricing, data, and timely communication.
Serve as the main customer contact, resolving order, shipping, and payment issues by coordinating with internal teams.
Arrange domestic and international shipments, working with freight forwarders, 3PLs, and warehouse vendors for efficient logistics.
Prepare and maintain all required export/import documentation in compliance with U.S. and international trade regulations.
Monitor and resolve trade compliance holds using GTS, perform audits, and collaborate with customs brokers to ensure proper clearance.
Support process improvements, analyze order fulfillment metrics, and help achieve team KPIs and inventory accuracy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience (Associate’s + 7 years, or HS Diploma + 9 years).
Advanced knowledge of U.S. export/import compliance, boycott regulations, and hazardous materials shipping (IATA).
Strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain and order fulfillment processes; SAP experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Experienced in import/export documentation and international trade regulations, including INCO terms.
Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience working in cross‑functional, multicultural teams is a plus.
Candidate must have authorization to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.
