Program Assistant – Transplant Department

Base pay range

$15.00/hr - $22.33/hr

Additional Information About The Role

You enjoy helping children? You thrive in a fast-paced environment? Join our team as a Program Assistant in the Transplant Department at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday. No weekends or holidays. MA Certification or LPN required.

Responsibilities

Supports the solid organ transplant program by providing assistance to the Transplant Coordinators. Ensures smooth and efficient office operations. Triages patient and provider phone calls; updates patient medical records through result entry and documentation. Assists with scheduling, canceling and rescheduling patient appointments; provides patients with a schedule of upcoming appointments. Maintains coordinator call schedule; requests, retrieves, and sends medical records. Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage. Performs complete and correct data entry of necessary information. Ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines. Schedules patient visits; verifies insurance eligibility; collects patient demographics; maintains proficiency in insurance basics, including recognition of commercial and government plans.

Minimum Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience: 2-5 years Licenses & Certifications: MA Certification or LPN

Supervisor Experience: No Experience required
