maker of possible . Reports directly to the QA Team Lead. This role directly monitors, inspects, and audits the process and product for compliance to specifications, assures integrity of process control systems, and detects trends in product quality where applicable.
Essential Functions
Perform various testing procedures and simple statistical analysis. Perform complete inspection of product prior to release according to applicable specifications within the assigned Business Unit. Apply appropriate statistical sampling plan. Stat sample or contain all hold products as applicable per the appropriate specification requirements. Record the results of inspections and audit findings in the Quality Module of SAP or on the appropriate forms. Report all product non-conformance issues to Quality and Production Management where appropriate. Maintain adherence to all safety, environmental, and quality system standards. Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by Quality Management or designate. Follow all site required safety and quality policies.
Education
H.S. diploma (if hired after 01-Jun-2000). Internal transfers exempted.
Experience
6 months QA experience or exposure.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to navigate a Windows-based computer environment. Use of measurement devices such as calipers, go/no-go gauges, optical comparators, pin gauges. An assessment will gauge proficiency in some of the above requirements. No supervision of others.
Working Conditions
12-hour night shift with a 3-2-2-3 rotation. Training on day shift (12-hour 3-2-2-3) as needed.

BD is a smoke-free campus. Smoking and use of tobacco products or electronic smoking devices are not allowed on BD property. Protective apparel policies apply on the production floor (e.g., steel-toe, non-slip shoes; jewelry restrictions).
