Operations Wires Platform Manager Job Description The Wires platform manager is responsible for leading the Wires team within the Money Movement Platforms team of Operations. This role will serve as the primary contact for wires platforms and partner with multiple levels of stakeholders to advance wire initiatives. This individual will oversee a team responsible for roadmaps, testing initiatives, modernization workstreams, vendor releases and platform enhancements. The role will lead a team that maintains and refines the product backlog, oversees ways of working—including the creation of user stories, acceptance criteria, and helps prioritize the work as necessary—while working with stakeholders. This leader will act as the primary liaison between the business and Agile teams or empower team members to do so, ensuring the team understands the vision for the wires platforms. They will ensure the team is working closely in a hands‑on style with development teams, addressing daily prioritization needs, providing real‑time feedback and answering questions on an ongoing basis. The manager works with Product Management to set release dates, determine when sufficient value has been delivered to release to market, understand tradeoffs between schedule, scope and budget, and communicate this information to the organization.

Hybrid/Flexible Schedule

– The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there’s an in‑office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

Typically eight or more years of related experience

Preferred Skills / Experience

Experience with ISO wires payment types – Fedwire, Swift, or CHIPS

Agile experience, including use of Jira or Dragonboat

Experience with large‑scale re‑platforming or platform transitions

Well‑developed ability to collaboratively develop and evolve a product backlog

Well‑developed ability to develop and articulate a product vision that supports outcomes, value and prioritization of work

Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead/collaborate with and empower teams

Well‑developed verbal and written communication skills

Proficient computer navigation skills

Compensation Pay Range: $133,365.00 - $156,900.00. The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
