Understand the proper use of calipers, depth and force gauges, micrometers, profile tools, tool maker’s microscope, CMM machine, and height gauge.
Conduct visual, functional and dimensional testing of connectors, terminals and assemblies using specified methods and frequencies.
Understand and test frequency standards and related check sheets.
Apply reject tag, quarantine and BPCS scan procedures.
Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Department Leader, Coordinator, or Supervisor.
Enter dimensional measurements into the computer daily, complying with procedures.
Read, write and comprehend detailed work instructions.
Work independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts.
Collaborate with other departments during shift changes.
Accurately complete check sheets and paperwork.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area/equipment and follow safety regulations.
Perform additional duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Requirements
Pass a color blindness test and vision screening.
Pass a defect drop test.
Physical effort to frequently lift or move materials (25–35 lbs).
Walk, stand, lift, bend and reach regularly.
Demonstrate ability to perform the essential functions of the QA Operator position.
Wear all required PPE (e.g., bump caps, safety toe shoes, safety glasses) and other PPE as dictated by tasks or environments (masks, ear plugs, harnesses, gloves, aprons).
