Facilities Electrical Technician (Night Shift)

Tesla . Location: East Bay and Peninsula locations. Shift: 11:30 PM – 7:30 AM; Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities
Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs and installs electrical equipment using technical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
Operate, diagnose, analyze and repair industrial equipment such as boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, pumps, chillers, air handling units, electric doors, overhead cranes and exhaust ventilation systems
Self-directed with the ability to be resourceful, plan and organize work
Performs daily general maintenance duties such as preventive maintenance, trouble calls and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned
Occasionally work on projects running conduit, pulling wire and connecting devices using lifts and ladders
Uses complex electrical schematics and blueprints to troubleshoot and correct problems
Develop equipment SOPs and Preventive Maintenance programs
Qualifications
Minimum 8+ years related work experience as an Industrial or Facilities electrician with ability to use hand tools, electrical meter, and testing equipment
Experience in handling low to high voltage up to 480 VAC
Strong knowledge of switchgears, troubleshooting motor controls, drives and electronic components
Ability to interpret electrical prints and schematics; understanding of drives and PLC is a plus
Proficient with computer and mobile devices
Valid Driver’s License required
Willingness to contribute to emergencies and operations that may be outside of normal skill set, such as restroom repairs and other work unfamiliar to the candidate
Compensation and Benefits Expected Compensation: $32.00 - $54.76/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including location, knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may include other elements.
