Job Summary Our client in San Antonio, TX is looking for an Assembly Seibi Technician. This is a contract position. The Technician will provide technical/skilled support to the Final Assembly Production Engineering team, including design/drawing review, buyoff support, install/commissioning, and equipment startup support.
What You’ll Be Doing
Review equipment specifications and designs, identify improvements, conduct vendor buyoffs, and confirm equipment functions.
Install equipment and verify safety, quality, and productivity.
Investigate and implement modification requirements, trial and adjust systems.
Manage cost and project time by confirming safety and quality prior to installation and overseeing vendor installation and kanban process.
Improve equipment quality and productivity through adjustments during online vehicle trials.
Confirm quality results by secondary methods such as torque checks and vacuum profiles.
Install, set up, and troubleshoot OEM program controllers (Toyopuc, Allen‑Bradley, etc.).
Provide training to maintenance members on new equipment.
Share subject‑matter expertise with local NAMC maintenance and production members.
Travel up to 50% of the time, including potential international travel.
Basic Qualifications
Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills (Toyopuc, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, Allen‑Bradley).
Comprehensive knowledge of PLCs, electrical circuits, and industrial controls.
2‑year technical degree or equivalent experience in EET or Industrial Maintenance Technology.
Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings.
Physical ability to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders, stand, bend, kneel, and work in hot, cold, or confined spaces.
Willingness to work up to 30% overtime and travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
Knowledge of industrial robot programming and teaching.
Experience with AGVs/AMRs programming and setup.
Knowledge of safety scanners and programming.
Familiarity with industrial control networking (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, etc.).
Automotive manufacturing experience.
