INSPYR Solutions
Product Design Manager
Location:
Charlotte, NC (hybrid, 4 days a week)
Duration:
Initial 6 months contract with extensions
Compensation:
$51.00- $54.00/hr
Work Requirements:
US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to work in US
Our client is hiring a
Service & Product Design Manager
to lead design efforts across a suite of complex tools that power the backbone of our food operations— from purchasing and planning to recipe standardization, vendor integration, and order management.
Design is a new capability within this group, and we're looking for someone who can bridge
Service Design
and
Product Design —someone who can map systems and dependencies, then translate them into intuitive UX/UI designs ready for production.
This hybrid role requires both strategic thinking and hands‑on execution. You'll lead discovery, co‑create future‑state journeys, and deliver UI solutions that meet real‑world operational needs, all while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Business stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
Lead end‑to‑end design efforts:
20‑30% Service Design ,
70‑80% Product Design
Map ecosystems, design current and future‑state user journeys, and create UX/UI solutions that help users accomplish their tasks
Identify system dependencies, data flows, and user pain points
Translate research and operational insights into lo‑fi journeys and high‑fidelity product experiences
Collaborate with internal operators, SMEs, and users to deeply understand workflows
Partner with Product and Engineering to align on problems‑to‑solve and feature development
Mentor and coach 1‑3 designers, fostering a culture of design excellence
Facilitate cross‑functional workshops to drive alignment
Translate service designs into production‑ready UI in Figma
Clearly document and communicate design decisions to stakeholders
You’ll Thrive Here If You…
Are energized by operational complexity and motivated to create clarity through design
Move seamlessly between strategic systems thinking and hands‑on design execution
Take a human‑centered approach to solving business and technical problems
Balance delivery with long‑term vision and adapt as product needs evolve
Are collaborative, curious, and care about the real‑world impact of your work
Required Experience
7+ years in Product, UX, or Service Design, including 1‑2 years in a leadership or management role
Experience in operations‑heavy environments (e.g., supply chain, inventory, food tech, logistics)
Strong product thinking with the ability to navigate user needs, business logic, and system architecture
Proven success designing for enterprise platforms or SaaS products with complex workflows
Proficiency in Figma and service design tools (e.g., journey maps, service blueprints)
Skilled in user research: field observations, stakeholder interviews, usability testing
Experience facilitating design reviews, retrospectives, and collaborative workshops
Familiarity with ERP or enterprise SaaS tools is a strong plus
Bonus: Experience coaching designers or shaping team structure and design processes
Our Benefits Package Includes
Comprehensive medical benefits
Competitive pay
401(k) retirement plan
...and much more!
