How you’ll make an impact:

Edwards Lifesciences is seeking a highly skilled and flexible cardiac sonographer to perform screening analyses utilizing multiple imaging modalities, in support of the Transcatheter Mitral & Tricuspid Therapies (TMTT) US Commercial Case Planning Team. This role is integral to the patient selection process and consequently contributes to achieving both exceptional and consistent procedural outcomes.

The Manager of Commercial Patient Screening will be assessing new products and procedure development, patient selection criteria development, patient screening, and clinical imaging training/case support for both novel and iterative devices

Analyze imaging and/or oversee third party image analysis for patient screening and contribute an opinion to the assessment of potential cases for early feasibility and clinical study candidates

Analyze, summarize, and present clinical baseline, procedural, and follow-up imaging (e.g., CT, echo, MRI, angiography) to provide inputs that support new product and procedure development and to support event investigations

Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation; ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives

Works independently with minimal guidance and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

Collaborate and provide recommendations to NPD team and HCPs to develop imaging patient selection criteria and screening protocol

Create and deliver training content relevant to image analysis for HCPs

Train field support team and/or HCPs on cardiac imaging procedures

What you'll need (Required):

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in in biological or life sciences, animal science, or other related scientific or technical field, 8 years experience of previous in-hospital and/or industry clinical echocardiographic experience required or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria.

RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) through ARDMS or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) through CCI required

What else we look for (Preferred):

Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) certification through CCI

Previous industry experience

Interventional echo-navigation imaging experience, particularly 3D TEE & MPR

Strong understanding of cardiac structures in 3D space

Previous experience analyzing and interpreting TEE MPR imaging

Substantial knowledge of relevant imaging equipment operation (e.g. 2D or 3D TTE/TEE/ICE, CT, etc.)

Fundamental knowledge of CT imaging concepts

Proficient in imaging analysis software (e.g. TomTec, 3Mensio, EchoPac,, Circle VI, etc.)

Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.

Substantial knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to cardiovascular imaging

Able to effectively guide and instruct other imaging specialists in clinical settings on effective imaging equipment operation

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requires strong diplomacy, influencing and relationship management skills

Strict attention to detail

Must be able to work in a team environment, fostering collaboration between inter-departmental teams, HCPs and KOLs.

Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines

Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

The base pay range for this position is $123,000 to $174,000 (highly experienced). The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., geographic location, qualifications, education, prior experience).
