Job Summary

The Grid Resiliency General Foreman is a senior field leader responsible for overseeing the construction, maintenance, and repair of transmission and distribution systems—both overhead and underground. This role combines hands-on crew supervision with high-level project execution, ensuring that all work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Grid Resiliency General Foreman serves as the primary link between field crews and project management, coordinating daily operations, managing resources, and maintaining compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements. This position may require extensive travel to project sites across the U.S. Job Duties And Responsibilities

Field Leadership & Crew Management: Directly supervise and provide technical guidance to Linemen, Apprentices, and Groundmen on both overhead and underground utility projects. Field Leadership & Crew Management: Coordinate on-site operations including crew mobilization, equipment setup, and daily work planning. Field Leadership & Crew Management: Ensure all safety protocols are communicated, understood, and strictly enforced. Field Leadership & Crew Management: Foster a culture of productivity, teamwork, and customer satisfaction within the crew. Project Execution & Coordination: Work closely with EGS management and client Project Managers, Construction Managers, and key stakeholders to execute project plans. Project Execution & Coordination: Interpret and apply site plans, blueprints, electrical drawings, and scopes of work. Project Execution & Coordination: Oversee adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Project Execution & Coordination: Assist with planning, resource allocation, and change order management. Material, Equipment & Documentation Management: Manage procurement, delivery, and inventory of materials, tools, and equipment. Material, Equipment & Documentation Management: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of work performed, including safety reports, timesheets, and job progress updates. Material, Equipment & Documentation Management: Utilize (or be willing to learn) digital tools and mobile technology for reporting and communication. Safety & Compliance: Develop and enforce site-specific safety plans in collaboration with the Safety Team. Safety & Compliance: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and utility standards. Safety & Compliance: Identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures immediately. Requirements

Required

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical utility construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Proven experience managing both overhead and underground crews in distribution, transmission, or substation projects. Strong knowledge of electrical construction techniques, equipment operation, and utility standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and utility specifications. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management tools preferred. Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including extended stays on project sites. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred). Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 5+ years of industry experience with increasing levels of responsibility. Functional knowledge of job cost accounting. CDL with DOT Med Card preferred. Working Conditions

Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain. Operate hand and power tools, heavy equipment, and perform work in trenches, confined spaces, and on elevated structures. Prolonged exposure to construction environments with heavy machinery, traffic, and electrical hazards. PPE required at all times (company-provided). Key Attributes
