Summary Coordinates shipping orders, assembles customer orders from stock, places orders on pallets, stretch-wraps, and marks materials with identifying information and shipping labels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Posts weights and shipping charges and affixes proper labels.
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases or other containers.
Operates various material handling and packing equipment.
Uses the computer to track information on product inventory shipped/received or moved within the plant.
Assembles, processes, and ships customer orders.
Loads and unloads materials onto or off pallets, trays and shelves by hand or with hand jack.
Cleans work area and other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications
High School education or equivalent.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Team player.
