Advertised Job Summary The individual will serve as the Program Coordinator for the FL Aquatic Preserves (AP) Continuous Water Quality Monitoring Program (CWQMP), who will be responsible for the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) of the CWQMP, including field audits and the annual Technicians’ Training Workshop (TTW). This position will be located at an FL AP site in the State of FL.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications A B.S. in Marine Science or other environmental field and two years of relevant work experience in database management are required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Access) is required.

Ability to effectively communicate with scientists verbally and in writing.

Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Job Duties

The coordinator will maintain the APWQ SharePoint site and provide a spreadsheet to the Department Contract Manager reporting which APs are in compliance with submission dates, one week following the AP due date. Essential Function Yes. Percentage of Time 20.

Coordinator will submit a quarterly progress spreadsheet to the Department Contract Manager documenting the QA/QC status of each AP station and document, including tertiary review, showing all previous year data uploads to the floridaapdata.org data portal. Essential Function Yes. Percentage of Time 30.

The Coordinator will provide the Department Contract Manager with audit report(s) and documentation showing the annual performance and system audits status/progress report was distributed to the APs. Essential Function Yes. Percentage of Time 20.

The coordinator will submit a list of committee members and defined committee obligations and protocol for oversight and corrective actions to the Department Contract Manager annually. The Coordinator will provide attendance lists, meeting minutes from each Data Management Committee meeting, and a prioritized list of research and analysis ideas. Essential Function Yes. The coordinator will plan, coordinate, and implement an annual Technicians’ Training Workshop (TTW). Essential Function Yes. Percentage of Time 20.
