Essential Job Functions
Guides, organizes, and directs the hourly workforce to meet or exceed all safety, operational, and quality goals.
Assures stationary and mobile equipment is operated properly in accordance with best practices.
Leads long‑term planning including projects, process development, budgeting, and operational schedules.
Maintains quality, safety, environmental, and health programs, including audits and development activities.
Plans and schedules operations in conjunction with maintenance to meet sales requirements.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering, or equivalent experience in mining or operations supervision, with at least five years of progressively responsible experience in an industrial production environment. Leadership skills are a plus. Alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with at least seven years of progressively responsible experience in production management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel and Word.
Solid background in operations planning programs such as JD Edwards.
Engineering in a manufacturing background preferred, or equivalent experience as Operations Supervisor in a similar field.
Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously and work well with a variety of personalities to achieve continuous improvement.
Physical ability to move throughout the plant, including climbing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to lift approximately 25 pounds.
Valid driver’s license.
