Kimberly-Clark is looking for a Supply Chain Environment & Sustainability (E&S) Due Diligence Program Expert to develop, implement, and advance the company’s environment, sustainability, and social compliance due diligence strategies across the global supply chain.
Position Summary The Program Expert is accountable for identifying and managing material product and sourcing risks related to environmental and sustainability topics. The role provides strategic leadership, ensures regulatory compliance, drives supplier engagement, and supports governance and continuous improvement.
In This Role
Program Strategy & Leadership
Enable and advance due diligence strategies by engaging plant operations, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
Develop business processes and controls to manage supplier‑related risks and maintain compliance with policies and regulations.
Provide expertise on responsible forest management, forest certification, human rights, biodiversity, land use, GHG Scope 3, local communities, and indigenous peoples’ expectations.
Due Diligence and Engagement
Lead due diligence and engagement activities with plant operations and suppliers to assure compliance.
Collaborate with suppliers, ENGOs, certifiers, investors, and other stakeholders to catalyze system change and innovation.
Compliance & Risk Management
Manage material product and sourcing risks related to climate change, deforestation, water, resource availability, etc.
Monitor and evaluate regulatory and policy requirements, assessing impacts on the company and suppliers.
Lead incident response, audits, investigations, and remediation for critical issues.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work across a matrixed environment, using leadership, influence, and business acumen.
Collaborate with Ethics & Compliance, HR, Supply Chain, Marketing, Government Relations, and Legal.
Communications & Reporting
Guide development of technical and strategic positioning related to sustainable sourcing.
Monitor, analyze and report program progress, compliance rates, and major findings.
Program Governance & Continuous Improvement
Facilitate Responsible Sourcing Governance Committee and drive policy, disclosures, and mitigation.
Monitor program performance and review action plans for critical incidents.
Inform enterprise response to emerging responsible sourcing issues.
Capability Building & Training
Raise team capability to identify and drive supplier mitigation.
Deploy and ensure completion of training programs for sourcing and procurement teams.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related field.
Advanced degree preferred.
10+ years in environment & sustainability due diligence, responsible sourcing, social compliance, or related discipline within a global organization.
Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional teams and managing complex projects or programs.
Proven track record in due diligence, compliance, and supplier engagement, with regulatory and company standards.
Experience with incident response, audits, investigations, and remediation planning for social and environmental issues.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Deep understanding of due diligence frameworks, forest certification, carbon management, biodiversity, and supply chain compliance.
Familiarity with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Strong analytical, risk assessment, and problem‑solving skills.
Leadership & Interpersonal Skills
Influence and collaborate effectively across matrixed environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including external partners.
Strategic thinking and business acumen to evaluate risks, identify opportunities, and drive system change.
Other Requirements
Experience delivering training programs related to social and environmental compliance.
Ability to monitor program performance, report progress, and support governance and continuous improvement.
Willingness to stay current on emerging responsible sourcing issues and to escalate critical matters.
Ability to travel as business needs require (up to 30%).
