$28.00/hr - $38.00/hr Day-in-the-Life
You start your shift with a safety huddle and a quick review of the work scope. On your docket: a compressor teardown and a turbine alignment. You reference drawings and sketches, set up the right tooling, and work alongside a supportive team to document, disassemble, inspect, and reassemble rotating machinery. Throughout the day, you keep your station tidy, engage with customer witnesses during inspections, and record precise measurements for quality records. Before shift change, you pass along clear notes so the next team picks up without missing a beat. What You’ll Work On
Recommend and carry out repairs on industrial rotating equipment—particularly compressors, turbines, and related machinery. With developing proficiency and frequent supervision, document, erect, alter, install, align, repair, replace, disassemble/reassemble, move, and inspect a wide range of rotating assets. Apply the correct equipment, tooling, procedures, specifications, work scopes, drawings, and documentation to complete each task safely and on time. Learn and contribute to repair processes for rotors, turbines, disc and blade holders, shafts, sleeves, gears, couplings, and other components required to complete jobs. Set up equipment needed to execute work scopes while maintaining safety and quality as top priorities. Measure and record dimensional inspections with proper instruments; maintain accuracy sufficient to pass an annual dimensional inspection test. Read and interpret drawings, sketches, work scopes, and verbal instructions. Understand inspection reports and collaborate effectively with customer witnesses. Prepare and process turbomachinery documentation (inspection reports, photo logs, hold tags). Practice safe lifting and rigging; operate or support operations involving cranes and forklifts. Maintain a clean, organized work area and a professional demeanor with internal and external customers. Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs to ensure smooth shift handoffs. Own your performance and stay current with evolving job knowledge and skill development. How We Work
Safety and quality first—always. Strong team culture and collaboration. Hands-on mentorship and supervision most of the time as you build mastery. What You Bring
High School Diploma or Equivalency. 3–5 years of experience with rotating turbomachinery. Rigging capabilities and knowledge of crane/forklift operations.
