We are seeking a
Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist
to join our team! You will provide recovery-oriented support and case management services to residents of long-term care facilities and their families. Opportunities may exist for future transition to providing counseling services. We care for individuals in long-term care settings, addressing issues from anxiety and depression to severe mental illness and end-of-life concerns. As part of a multidisciplinary team, our clinicians have the opportunity to significantly improve residents' quality of life by solving problems, delivering excellent clinical care, and serving as a vital link in the care of this vulnerable population. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide Therapeutic Behavioral Services by consulting with a licensed clinician to meet individual needs. Develop service plans for supports or care coordination, including healthcare and behavioral health treatment plans. Offer linkage, interventions, treatment options, and crisis prevention services. Deliver services to individual or group clients. Train support staff on client triggers, de-escalation techniques, and interventions as outlined in the treatment plan. Foster positive relationships with outside contacts. Meet with Resident Care Coordinators or designated staff to review resident and facility care needs and communicate findings. Maintain open communication with facility staff and administration, providing feedback on treatment plans and caregiver information. Adhere to Eventus WholeHealth standards, policies, procedures, and all legal and regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA compliance. Conduct yourself professionally at all times. Maintain patient confidentiality and appropriate use of communication tools. Consult with the clinical supervisor on unfamiliar resident or facility requests regarding care. Qualifications/Education: Master’s degree in counseling or marriage and family therapy, with eligibility for licensure in the practicing state. Knowledge: Population-specific interventions and care following treatment plans. Rules and regulations governing behavioral health practice. Organizational policies and procedures. Skills Required: Gathering and analyzing physiological, socioeconomic, behavioral, and emotional data. Providing training in social/emotional well-being, stress, and anger management, and life skills. Evaluating patient problems and providing advice, intervention, or referrals. Effective written and verbal communication. Exercise of initiative, judgment, and discretion. Building and maintaining effective working relationships. Abilities: React calmly and effectively in emergencies. Work collaboratively with the healthcare team. Evaluate and recommend quality improvements. Handle confidential information appropriately.
