POSITION: MOUD/MAT Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
Schedule: Full Time 40 Hours Per Week
Facility: Central NM CF
Location: Los Lunas, NM

POSITION SUMMARY The MOUD/MAT Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant provides skilled nursing services to incarcerated individuals with opioid use disorders at the New Mexico Corrections Department (NMCD). The MOUD Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant performs on‑going risk assessments, triage, teaching, inductions, stabilizations, medication management and monitoring of patients in the MOUD treatment program. Assists in the primary care of patients within the MOUD treatment program.
JOB REQUIREMENTS The following requirements list the minimum to qualify. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
LICENSURE:
Current New Mexico Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license required. Current New Mexico Controlled Substance license preferred. Current DEA required.
CERTIFICATION:
Graduate of college/university Advanced Practical Nurse or Physician Assistant program.
EDUCATION:
Graduate of college/university Advanced Practical Nurse or Physician Assistant program.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Prefer a minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience
Prefer experience in maintaining documentation
Correctional experience preferred but not required
