What You’ll Do Under direction of a licensed therapist, the Physical Therapy Attendant assists in preparation of patients for treatment in the Rehabilitation Services department.
Sanitizing and stocking treatment rooms and equipment, setting up for and assisting in lymphedema treatments.
Organizing and executing the recreational program for the swing bed patients.
Transferring patients, and other tasks which aide in the day to day operation of the department including clerical work on the computer.
Operation and maintenance of equipment.
Assist in clinical staff by providing rehabilitative therapy services to designate therapy clientele under the direction of licensed Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapists and Speech Language Therapists on staff.
Assists in conducting pool therapy classes.
Assists during patient testing, evaluations and complex procedures.
Orders supplies as needed for the Rehab department.
Who We’re Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Continued education or related coursework in the field preferred.
An American Heart Association approved BLS certification is required upon initial employment and must be maintained throughout GRHD employment.
Bilingual English / Spanish preferred.
Practical experience in field of direct patient care preferred.
What We Offer Our total rewards package includes
Pay Range: $17.50 - $19.54 /hour (based on experience)
Shift Differentials: $2–$4/hour for nights and weekends
