Department: Radiology: Xray Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 24 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Saturday - Sunday 7:00p-7:30a. Call and Holiday rotation required. This position is sign on bonus eligible. Based on eligibility. Pay Range: $28.05 - $42.10 Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health, distinguished for patient care and medical expertise. CMC serves as the region’s only Level 1 trauma center and an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas, and liver. It is one of North Carolina’s five Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals, providing residency training for more than 200 physicians in 15 specialties and serving as a regional campus for Wake Forest. Coordinates daily activities including performing examinations and associated clerical duties. Major Responsibilities
Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician. Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity. Prepares and administers contrast media as required. Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary. Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills. Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards. Minimum Job Requirements
Education : Graduate of an institution accredited by ARRT-recognized agency in Radiologic Technology. Certification / License : Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. CPR certification required. Work Experience : Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development; demonstrates skills appropriate to age, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers. Handles equipment and monitors supplies. Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff. May frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel in operating radiographic equipment. Will be required to use hands for power gripping, speed work and precision. Vision and hearing for distances up to 10 feet is necessary. Disclaimer
