JR0016608## **Job Description:**The Ambulatory Specialty Nurse provides clinical support to the physicians, ensuring a highly efficient well trained clinical team that supports the optimal level of operations and patient satisfaction. Delegates, assesses, plans, coordinates to provide higher level of patient care activities where they utilize critical thinking skills to interpret complex information and guide patients to navigate the outpatient setting. Perform duties in the outpatient clinic setting supporting and/or assisting the physicians with in-office procedures and clinical administrative tasks. Triages and manages emergent and non-emergent patient phone calls and messages.**Education:*** Associate's Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing - Required* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing - Must be obtained within 4 years of hire if hired after 2015****Experience:***** 1 year Healthcare - Acute Care - Preferred* 1 year ambulatory, triage or medical office experience - Preferred* Nursing – Specialty Care in Oncology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Endoscopy and OB GYN - Preferred****Certifications/Licensures:***** RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Registered Nursing - Required* BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required****Skills:***** Must have clinical expertise in aiding physicians and staff in coordinating patient care and functions as primary liaison between patients, staff and physician.* Maintains professional and personal integrity.* Outstanding motivational and communication skills, especially the ability to communicate instructions and procedures for treatments, keeping the patients and giving them the desired level of comfort and confidence.* Leadership skills to delegate and provide direction/guidance to staff as part of the care team.* Must have strong sensitivity to the needs and anxieties of patients and the ability to motivate patients to undergo treatments and/or procedures.* Strong ethics and a high level of personal and professional integrity.## **Work Shift:**08.0 Per Diem No Waive (United States of America)**Pay Range:**$76.02 - $102.61### ### Hourly### Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
