EPG Field Technician - Rotator Prudhoe Bay (Maintenance) We have opportunities as
Electric Power Generation (EPG) Technicians/Rotator
in our Service Department out of our Prudhoe Bay, AK branch. Salary range:
$56.65-60.65 per hour. (based on skills and experience). Rotation Schedule:
3 weeks on; 3 weeks off Responsibilities
This key role involves diagnosing and performing all repairs and installations in the field for electric power generators and the associated diesel and gas engines. The field service position will primarily be in Prudhoe Bay. Troubleshoot and repair standby, prime and paralleling power systems. Tear down, clean, inspect and make necessary repairs, replace or recondition components and worn parts on EPG, Industrial and Marine engines. Plan and organize jobs, control costs associated with repairs by following manufacturer and company procedures. Order parts as required using Caterpillar parts ordering systems (SIS); effectively communicate repairs/issues with customers, end-users and other team members; meet administrative requirements to complete paperwork, including service reports and input of hours timely and accurately. Promote and adhere to strict safety standards and maintain company assets in good condition. Qualifications & Experience
A high school degree (or equivalent) or a graduate of a 2-4 year vocational technical school training institution or equivalent experience is required. A valid driver\'s license is required. Operation of equipment such as forklifts, hydraulic and mechanical presses, hoists, cranes, and pressure washers will be necessary. 5+ years experience working with electrical power generators, ATSs and switchgear. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook). The role requires the ability to stand up to eight hours per day and includes twisting, bending, squatting, sitting, stooping and kneeling. Prudhoe Bay area of responsibility; travel to other Alaska locations will be required. Experience working at a Caterpillar (CAT) dealership or with CAT products is ideal. Benefits
