Job Title: Regional Clinical Operations Manager

Overview What you will be doing: Operational Oversight. Lead quality improvement initiatives, workflow optimization, policy implementation, and cross-functional collaboration within the clinic and across service lines.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the clinic, ensuring timely patient flow and staff coordination.
Act as liaison between surgeons, clinic staff, hospital systems, and external vendors.
Lead quality improvement initiatives, workflow optimization, and policy implementation.
Train and mentor clinical support staff, including MAs, Surgery Schedulers, and administrative personnel.
Monitor clinic metrics (e.g., visit volume, wait times, documentation lag) and generate reports for leadership.
Partner with leadership to support implementation of new programs, workflows, or initiatives at the clinic level.
Foster collaboration and alignment across service lines (clinical care, procedure room, WholeBody, and physical therapy in Santa Monica), ensuring staff work seamlessly together to deliver a unified patient experience.
Manage scheduling templates, daily clinic flow, and capacity utilization. Support financial stewardship by monitoring staffing ratios, overtime, supply usage, and patient throughput metrics.
Oversee vendor relationships at the clinic level (supplies, DME, imaging, etc.), including issue resolution and service coordination.
Manage the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) program across both West LA locations, ensuring appropriate inventory levels, compliance with dispensing protocols, and efficient patient fulfillment.
Represent the clinic in cross-functional meetings and operational strategy sessions.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and state/federal healthcare regulations.
Directly manage clinic staff (front office coordinators, medical assistants, surgery coordinators) at our West LA sites.
Partner with physicians to ensure clinic schedules run efficiently and patient needs are met.
Conduct regular 1:1s, performance evaluations, and oversee staff leveling (MA I/II/III, schedulers).
Serve as the point of escalation for patient concerns and operational issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, public health, or a related field required.
Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or equivalent) preferred.
3–5 years of experience in clinical operations, practice management, or healthcare administration, ideally within multi-specialty, orthopedic, or ASC settings (but not required).
Demonstrated success managing front-line healthcare staff and partnering with physicians.
Experience implementing process improvements, compliance programs, or vendor management in a healthcare environment.
Prior multi-site or regional management experience strongly preferred.
Strong operational and organizational skills with ability to manage competing priorities.
Effective people manager with coaching, mentoring, and team-building skills.
Comfortable with EMRs, scheduling systems, and healthcare workflows.
Data-driven mindset with ability to monitor, interpret, and act on key operational metrics.
Salary/Rate Range:
$100,000 – $130,000
