Position Overview
The organization seeks a full-time, passionate, dedicated, and flexible Montessori Teacher to work with two-year-old children in its Montessori program. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, supportive, and engaging environment where young learners can thrive. The community comprises educators who value kindness, laughter, and lifelong learning. This role is both special and a calling. Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain a peaceful and engaging classroom environment that supports the Montessori method of learning. Support children’s developmental milestones, both academically and socially. Foster independence, self-confidence, and respect for others through hands-on learning experiences. Supervise and engage children during daily activities, including meals, playtime, and nap time. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. Address children’s basic needs, such as diapering, feeding, and comfort. Utilize communication skills to connect with parents regularly regarding their child’s progress and milestones through conferences, conversations, and a weekly newsletter. Exhibit commitment and flexibility. Qualifications
A passion for early childhood education, particularly the Montessori philosophy.
Montessori Certification Patience, empathy, and a calm/nurturing demeanor, especially in challenging moments. Ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents. Physical stamina to meet the demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and working on the floor. Previous experience working with children. Previous work with toddlers is a plus. A team player, big-hearted, and good-humored.
