What You'll Do As a Patient Access Scheduler, you’ll be the first person many patients talk to at Grand River Health. You’ll help patients get the care they need by answering phone calls, making appointments, and helping direct their questions to the right place.
What You’ll Do:
Answer phone calls and schedule patient appointments.
Help patients get pre‑approvals from insurance if needed.
Call patients to remind them about upcoming appointments.
Take messages for doctors and nurses.
Be friendly, helpful, and professional every time you talk to patients.
Make sure patients feel welcome and cared for.
Work closely with your coworkers to keep things running smoothly.
Pitch in with other tasks as needed.
Who We're Looking For
Courses or experiences showing commitment, reliability, or work ethic
Brings clinic experience, but we'll train the right person
Speaks both English and Spanish to better serve our community, but not required.
What We Offer
$17.50 - $22.00 Dependent on experience may vary outside this range
Additional $2.00 - $4.00 an hour for additional weekend and night shifts
Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience
