Job Description Summary:

The Clinical Child Psychology Fellow will work under the supervision of KUSM-W faculty psychologists to obtain advanced competency in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. The fellow will provide quality patient care to children and adolescents in the outpatient clinic. The fellow will develop a plan for didactics training experiences with the faculty supervisor at the beginning of the year, which may include attendance at Grand Rounds, journal club, national conferences and other relevant experiences agreed on by the fellow and supervisor. The annual salary is $58,656.

Job Duties Provide child and adolescent clinical psychology services under faculty supervision in the faculty outpatient clinics at KUSM-W. Services may include assessment, group therapy, family therapy, and individual therapy sessions. Involvement in scholarly activity or research projects under faculty supervision.

Required Qualifications Education:

Must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology in an APA accredited psychology program by date of hire

Must have completed an APA accredited psychology internship program by date of hire.

This position requires a formal degree in the cited discipline area(s) to ensure that candidates have the foundational knowledge and skill set required to perform the duties of the position. The level of degree is based on accreditation requirements, institutional standards of academic and professional excellence, alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.

Certifications / Licenses:

Must be able to practice and obtain temporary license in the State of Kansas as a licensed psychologist by date of hire.

Must be eligible to take the licensing exam for clinical psychologist during the first year of appointment.

Preferred Qualifications Experience:

Familiar with the administration of a broad range of clinical psychology testing for children and adolescents.

Familiar with evidence-based treatments for children and adolescents.
