The Senior Electrical Lab Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems used in downhole tools and oilfield measurement technologies. This role requires expert‑level technical ability, precision, and familiarity with harsh‑environment electronic design. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in the testing and repair of downhole systems and play a key role in supporting R&D, field deployment, and reliability assurance initiatives. Key Responsibilities

Assemble, wire, and function‑test electrical and electronic assemblies for downhole tools, including sensors, telemetry modules, and power systems. Conduct bench and environmental testing (pressure, temperature, vibration) to verify tool performance and durability. Troubleshoot electronic faults at the component and system level using oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and diagnostic software. Record test data, calibration logs, and repair reports in compliance with internal QC and ISO procedures. Work closely with design and test engineers to evaluate prototypes, support new product introduction (NPI), and provide technical input during product improvements. Identify and recommend process optimizations to enhance tool performance, serviceability, and production efficiency. Maintain full adherence to company HSE guidelines. Required Qualifications

Minimum 10 years as an electrical or electronics technician in oilfield services, downhole tool manufacturing, or related sectors. Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field. Preferred Certifications: IPC J‑STD‑001 / IPC‑A‑610 (soldering & PCB standards). Experience in electrical assembly and testing: 6 years (Preferred). Ability to commute to Fort Worth, TX 76118 (Required). Ability to relocate to Fort Worth, TX 76118: Relocate before starting work (Preferred). Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred). Technical Skills

Advanced knowledge of analog/digital circuits, signal conditioning, and telemetry systems. Experience with oscilloscopes, environmental test chambers, and data acquisition (DAQ) systems. Proficiency in soldering, cable termination, and mil‑spec connector assembly. Familiarity with test automation, LabVIEW, or similar systems is a plus. Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork in a cross‑functional environment. High attention to detail, precision, and accountability in lab operations. Work Environment

Laboratory environment with exposure to high‑pressure and high‑temperature test systems. Occasional field support or tool evaluation at customer sites.
