What You Will Be Doing:

As a Field Service Technician in our IPS PowerServe division, you will perform testing and maintenance on low, medium, and high voltage power distribution equipment for our commercial and industrial clients. We are NETA accredited, conducting testing under NETA standards to ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities Include:

Testing and Calibrations:

Instrument transformer, power transformer testing (Doble, insulation resistance, TTR), cable testing (power factor, tan delta, VLF, hipot), circuit breaker & switchgear testing, primary & secondary injection testing, protective relay testing, continuity & ground fault testing, power quality assessment. Troubleshooting and Data Collection:

Inspect and troubleshoot switchgear, circuit breakers, cables, transformers, protective relays, VFDs, ATS, including start-ups and data collection. Service & Repair:

Conduct inspections, diagnose issues, replace parts, make recommendations, and recommission equipment. Safety:

Adhere to all safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). Teamwork:

Contribute to a strong team environment by assisting colleagues to achieve mutual goals. Customer Service:

Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues and resolutions. Documentation:

Complete detailed reports of work performed. Qualifications:

Even if you don't have all skills yet, our training program will help you acquire necessary certifications. However, the following are required: Some testing experience with low and medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, or protective relays. NETA Certification (II, III) or equivalent skills/experience preferred. Journeyman electrician experience is a plus. Power database experience is a plus. Valid driver’s license with 3+ years of driving experience. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to read schematics, manuals, and safety guidelines. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and be on call as needed. Benefits:
