Overview Montech Inc. is seeking a qualified candidates to provide Heating, Ventilation, and Air Condition (HVAC) support of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The

HVAC Technician (Senior, Intermediate, and Entry Level)

will be responsible for installing, recognizing the cause of faulty equipment, and repairing, modifying, and relocating equipment on various special-purpose air conditioning units and systems.

General Responsibilities

Have the ability to modify, alter, or substitute components and elements of the system to meet specified pressure-temperature characteristics.

Receive assignments with minimal instructions concerning work methods or materials.

Work with engineering or testing personnel while planning/modifying a system to meet specific conditions.

Responsibilities are not all inclusive of tasks that may be assigned to the Senior HVAC Technician.

Install and recognize the cause of faulty equipment.

Make repairs on large systems that provide a variety of air conditioning functions, such as heating, cooling, humidifying, dehumidifying, cleaning, filtering, and circulating.

Locate and repair faulty equipment swiftly to minimize downtime.

Perform complex repairs, such as installing and fitting connecting rods, crankshafts, piston rings, bearings, and bushings.

Planning test procedures, determining proper kind and type of parts and equipment needed, and installing and repairing systems with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities are not all inclusive of tasks that may be assigned to the HVAC Technician (Intermediate).

Install and recognize the causes of faulty equipment.

Make repairs on a variety of domestic and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning units and systems such as walk‑in and reach‑in coolers, refrigerators, ice cream cabinets, deep freezers, evaporative coolers, attic and evaporative fans, and other equipment of comparable complexity.

Use basic knowledge of the principles and theories of the refrigeration cycle, temperature measurement, the properties of several refrigerants, and the knowledge of the construction and operation of a variety of domestic units and systems.

Skilled in replacing major portions of various cooling units, such as compressors, condensers, expansion valves, float and service valves, thermostats, coils, and drive assemblies.

Skilled in servicing power sources.

Responsibilities are not all inclusive of tasks that may be assigned to the HVAC Technician (Entry Level).

Qualifications

Technicians will have HVAC certification such as EPA Section 608, NATE, HVAC Excellence, Small Appliances, Refrigeration, All Equipment, etc.

Will have knowledge of the construction characteristics of a variety of types and models of systems designed to reach and maintain critical and extreme conditions under various circumstances

Handle and carry tools, equipment, and testing devices that can up to 50 pounds.

Security Employment is contingent upon the ability to pass the pre‑employment drug test and a federal security investigation (background check) in order to obtain a U.S. Department Health and Human Services

Public Trust

clearance prior to start date. The background investigation reviews employment, criminal, financial, and personal history to ensure there are no outstanding violations.

HVAC Technician

must present a professional demeanor at all times while on site and shall treat all persons with courtesy and respect, striving to earn positive feedback of customers. Any notification from Government to Montech notifying that the employee has compromised the security requirements will warrant immediate termination from employment on the contract.
