How will you do it We are looking for skilled HVAC Mechanics with practical work experience in HVAC piping, plumbing, pipefitting, and/or mechanical equipment service industries. Mechanics should have hands-on experience with light commercial or commercial mechanical equipment. Passing a skills assessment may be required. The scope of work includes commercial HVACR service. Mechanics may partner with Journeymen to repair centrifugal, steam turbines, and open-drive screw chillers. Responsibilities include maintenance, repair, and replacement of commercial heating and cooling systems. Your role involves providing high-level customer service to diagnose facility issues and deliver effective solutions. As a trusted advisor, you will offer recommendations and solutions during commissioning and aftermarket services, including upselling opportunities. You will also prepare quotes to support your recommendations. What we look for Required Membership or willingness to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO. Dedicated team player willing to learn and responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and aftermarket services in a fast-growing business. At least three (3) years of experience in commercial and/or industrial HVAC troubleshooting, including rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, and plumbing. Mechanical shaft alignment skills using dial indicators, etc., for pumps, fans, and compressors. Ability to use vibration equipment for troubleshooting drivelines. Willingness to travel 10% to 20% to support customer activities, troubleshooting, installation, and repair. Ability to pass a knowledge assessment to demonstrate proficiency. Interest in career development through training programs in HVAC products and sales quoting. Ability to work collaboratively with local mechanics, servicemen, and apprentices. Strong interpersonal, digital, and written communication skills to clearly identify problems, causes, and corrective actions. Capability to provide quotes and participate in JCI’s Service Plus Rewards program. Self-motivated with a passion for learning and applying new skills. Commitment to safety in all aspects. Valid driver's license, universal EPA refrigerants license, and any applicable state or local licenses.
