Sign Fabricator

Job Summary: As a Sign Fabricator, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality signage using a variety of materials, tools, and fabrication techniques. This role involves interpreting design specifications, cutting, assembling, and finishing signs to meet client and company standards. You will collaborate with designers, project managers, and installers to ensure precision and durability in every project. Attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work with different fabrication methods are essential to success in this role. We are looking to add a committed, detail-oriented Sign Installer to our team. Key Responsibilities: Fabricate and assemble custom signage using various materials, including acrylic, metal, wood, and vinyl. Operate and maintain fabrication equipment such as CNC routers, laser cutters, saws, welders, and printers. Read and interpret design files, blueprints, and production specifications to ensure accuracy in fabrication. Cut, shape, and prepare materials using precise measurement techniques and tools. Apply vinyl graphics, paint, and other finishes to signage surfaces. Perform electrical wiring and LED installation for illuminated signs, as needed. Ensure all fabricated signs meet quality control standards for durability, finish, and structural integrity. Collaborate with designers, project managers, and installers to ensure signage aligns with project requirements. Safely handle and store raw materials, adhesives, and chemical coatings in compliance with safety regulations. Load, transport, and install signage at client locations when required. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are in proper working condition. Adhere to company safety policies and industry standards for fabrication and installation. Stay up to date with new fabrication techniques, materials, and industry trends. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Prior experience in sign fabrication, woodworking, metalworking, or a related trade is preferred. Proficiency in operating fabrication tools and equipment, including CNC routers, laser cutters, welders, and power tools. Ability to read and understand design files, blueprints, and technical drawings. Familiarity with various sign-making materials such as acrylic, aluminum, PVC, wood, and vinyl. Vinyl Application & Finishing: Experience applying vinyl graphics, paint, and other finishes to signage surfaces. Electrical Knowledge: Basic understanding of LED lighting and wiring for illuminated signs (preferred but not required). Strong measurement, cutting, and assembly skills to ensure accuracy in fabrication. Ability to troubleshoot fabrication challenges and find creative solutions. Comfortable working on your feet, lifting heavy materials, and handling physically demanding tasks. Safety Awareness: Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and proper handling of tools, chemicals, and materials. Ability to work closely with designers, project managers, and installers to complete projects efficiently. A valid driver’s license may be required for transporting and installing signage at job sites. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with tools such as drills, saws, and tape measures. Basic understanding of safety protocols related to operating production equipment, handling materials, and working in a shop environment. Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for precision to ensure high-quality output in tasks like vinyl cutting, weeding, and applying graphics.
