Position Information for a Temporary Electronics Specialist (Fire Alarm Technician) on the Life Safety/Electronics-Specialty Shop team. The role involves preventive maintenance and hands-on installations or modifications to essential systems that support safety, security, and functionality across the university. Responsibilities

Conduct routine and preventive maintenance inspections on Life Safety Systems, Fire Detection and Suppression Systems, Security Systems, CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) Systems, Equipment Monitoring Systems, and other miscellaneous electronic systems and subsystems. Install, maintain, and modify fire detection and suppression systems, Life Safety equipment, card access systems, CCTV, and equipment monitoring tools. Respond to repair requests and troubleshoot issues with various electronic components to ensure systems operate at peak performance. Coordinate with other teams and vendors to guarantee timely inspections and installations. Position Details

Work Schedule: Schedule of M-F 4:00 pm to 12:30 am on-site Other Work/Responsibilities: N/A Minimum Experience/Education: High School Diploma or completion of GED Department Required Skills: Experience working with security systems and CCTV systems Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot electronic systems Knowledge of safety codes and regulations related to Life Safety systems (preferred) Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and vendors Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education: Experience working with fire alarm systems Required License or Certification: N/A Valid NC Driver\'s License required?
