Job Summary:
Performs all types of electrical installation and repair services for the electrical utilities and machinery in the plant. Participates in maintenance, troubleshooting, replacement, repair, and testing of energized equipment and circuits. Responsibilities:
Installs electrical conduit systems, feeders, branch circuits, panel boards, transformers, disconnects, variable frequency drives, and related electrical equipment according to national and local electrical codes. Examines, installs, and maintains various electrical systems; makes recommendations for new equipment or improvements. Completes preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines by following diagrams, sketches, manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshoots malfunctions. Qualifications:
Ability to read and understand technical manuals, electrical drawings, and prints. Working knowledge of electrical systems, voltages, wiring diagrams, and test instruments for voltages ranging from 24V to 13.2kV. Knowledge of maintenance tasks such as electrical preventive maintenance, repairs, lock-out/tagout procedures, motor and VFD removal, IO cards, PLCs, etc. Typically works independently and reports to maintenance supervisor. Effective communication skills with departments, external parties, and use of Microsoft Office. Applicable certifications or technical school degrees. Minimum of 5+ years of maintenance experience. Demonstrated problem-solving ability and advanced mathematical skills. Ability to train others. Experience with Salvagnini punching and forming equipment is a plus. Key Competencies:
