Harvard Jolly, Inc.
The Civil Graduate Engineer will assist with all aspects of engineering projects including grading, drainage systems, water systems, wastewater systems, and roadways while working under the guidance of registered professional engineers.
Your Impact: Complete preliminary engineering studies and reports.
Perform drainage system design and calculations including detention pond and storm sewer sizing.
Perform site grading.
Design water distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems .
Assist in final engineering plan production with CAD staff.
Assist in the preparation of final engineering specifications.
Designs work in compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and standards.
Perform quantity take-offs and estimates.
Work with the appropriate authorities having jurisdiction to obtain plan approval and permits.
Review of submittals and answer Contractor’s RFIs.
Periodic site observations during construction.
Here’s What You’ll Need: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university required .
Florida Certified EI preferred
0-2 years of experience since graduation working in the A/E/C industry .
Experience with AutoCAD, with a general knowledge of Civil 3D preferred.
Familiarity with design software such as StormWise, StormCAD, and WaterCAD.
Highly proficient with MS Office suite.
Excellent communications skills both oral and written.
Excellent interpersonal skills with coworkers, owners, and public agency officials.
Familiarity with local and regional design criteria.
Ability to work interdependently within a team environment.
Must be flexible to changes and able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
