The ideal candidate will excel at contributing to all elements of Land Surveying and will have 3+ years minimum field work experience or similar responsibilities in the Land Surveying Field. Minimum Education:

AAS or higher in Land Surveying is preferred. Registration:

Intern Land Surveyor or the ability to obtain required. Skills: Perform Boundary, A.L.T.A/NSPS Land Title surveys, and water right surveys. Develop subdivision plats and record of survey maps. Perform Existing Conditions/Topographic surveys for small and large projects. Compile/reduce data and import data into drawings. Prepare parcel descriptions for properties, roads, easements, rights of way, etc. Control surveys: establish and maintain control networks over large and small sites. Construction staking, including the ability to generate stakeout data from plans and transfer that information onto the ground. Establish and maintain quality control procedures on survey operations. Proficiency in Autodesk Civil3D, and Microsoft Office Software is mandatory. Proficiency in Topcon Software, GPS, and Robotic Total stations is preferred. Effectively manage multiple, complex survey projects. Work with staff engineers to plan and execute survey responsibilities for in-house projects in the Finger Lakes region and surrounding areas. Work in inclement weather and in all types of terrain. Willingness to learn and expand responsibilities. Ability to work independently. Strong interpersonal, communication and technical writing skills.
