Are you a motivated self-starter with a passion for land surveying? Interstate Engineering is seeking a dynamic Survey Party Crew Chief to lead our survey crews. This is your chance to work on a diverse range of survey projects, including construction staking, cadastral, boundary, ALTA, and topographic surveys, while enhancing your technical skills with a renowned regional firm. What You'll Do:

Lead Survey Crews:

Manage and direct land surveying projects across various industries. Project Analysis:

Analyze deeds, certificates of survey, subdivision plats, and other survey records. Expertise:

Utilize your knowledge of the Public Land Survey System, BLM Manual, and GLO field notes and plats. Survey Techniques:

Conduct construction staking, cadastral, boundary, ALTA, and topographic surveys. Team Management:

Operate independently or manage a field assistant as necessary. Organize & Execute:

Organize field staking materials and provide technical expertise to clients. Equipment Proficiency:

Use survey equipment, GPS, and Total Station competently. Data Management:

Complete and maintain accurate data files and field notes. Supervise & Coordinate:

Oversee the work of others, ensuring quality and efficiency. Problem-Solving:

Perform complex tasks requiring advanced solutions and skills. Client Relations:

Maintain productive working relationships with clients and co-workers. Communication:

Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

Experience in Land Surveying or an Associate’s Degree in Land Surveying. Technical Skills:

Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble equipment and software is desired but not required. Independence:

Ability to work independently and proficient in written documentation. Travel:

Willingness to travel and work outdoors, including some overnight travel and overtime. Licensing:
